Top performance needs focus. We can help you become and stay focused on your professional performance by addressing three of the critical issues you need to have properly handled: Career Plan, Personal Finance and Personal Wellbeing.
Career Advising
Individual and organization’s expectations should always be aligned. Nevertheless, when organizations take on projects like career planning or succession plans, they tend to overlook the particular circumstances and objectives of each individual in the specific time period; no wonder that the resulting decisions are then far from optimal for both organization and employee.
We start from the individual’s strengths, interests and particular circumstances for each period. We use formal assessment techniques and informal discussions to come up with a clear map for the individual's professional development to be openly compared with the organization's plans and opportunities.
Personal Finance
A few years ago, a prestigious university found out that in the United States, up to USD 70k / year in income money does have a significant impact on an individual’s happiness due to objective reasons (beyond that level, money is also important but most often in line with “the more you have, the more you want”, and one can take full benefit from being warned). Nevertheless, personal finance is still absent from formal education in Romania. Having a saving and investment plan in line with one’s personal objectives and circumstances is strongly correlated with a higher sense of security and responsibility.
Our inputs in the field come mostly from the CFA Curriculum.
Science of Well Being
The needs of happiness, fulfillment and personal growth are present in all human beings – and, as all the needs, they are stronger in particular times in particular individuals than in others. If no other option is available, such needs make the individual vulnerable to a huge number of gurus, life coaches and trainers, esoteric leaders and so on, most often with shaky ethical and professional standards. Most often they claim legitimacy from “thousand years old wisdom of Buddhism” and “the latest scientific discoveries”, having little in common with Buddhism and even less so with science. Most often, in the long run, followers, their friends and the organizations will suffer in a number of ways as the practitioner adopt new beliefs and practices incompatible with the ones of the non-believers. Partly to counteract this phenomenon, top Western universities provide classes addressing systematically and objectively happiness and fulfillment, popularity, history of main esoteric movements and so on. There are documented data on what was proved to be true, what was proved to be false and what is still to be assessed in most esoteric systems as well as guidelines to sort out pure crooks from legitimate experts, with all intermediary nuances. There is also true scientific research on what correlates with success or happiness and possible neurobiological explanations.
We shall be happy to share these insights with you.
